We are developing the roads to the future, and we must do them together with you.

Geo Technical Laboratory

SNER Cameroun laboratory services provide geo-technical and topology studies.

A geo-technical study is a soil study which aims to determine the mechanical characteristics of the ground required to support a construction and assess the natural risks identified in the sector in which a project is located and their impact on future construction.

This study takes place at all stages of a road project, from the acquisition of field data to geotechnical engineering.

This study is involved in all stages of a road project, from the acquisition of field data to geotechnical engineering.

We are a skilled teams trained and experienced in road geotechnics which includes:

  • Soil treatment (cement, hydraulic binders).
  • Geotechnical laboratory analyzes and control of aggregates.
  • Stability studies of retaining structures or embankments.

Results from a field analysis makes it possible to obtain the geology (the types of soil encountered), the piezometric level (the water level at the right of the site) and the mechanical characteristics (apparent resistance) of the soils.

To obtain accurate material information, it is important to obtain representative samples of the materials being tested. There are various standards that describe the sampling process in detail, and we would be happy to discuss this with you should you wish to bring in samples for testing.

Once the result of the geotechnical study, is interpreted, it guides the project chief on the construction method to be planned (foundations, structure, pavement, etc.) and guarantee the long-term stability of the structure.
